The water in the reservoir doesn't entirely empty.
Same problem with the first one I bought and returned. Any suggestions?

A.

I would suggest making sure the surface you have it on is level. It
would not have to be off by much to keep a small amount of water in the
reservoir.

Hello, I use a large cup, can someone tell me the
amount of oz. you can set this for? I believe my cups are 8-10 oz.
|
A.

The unit will make up to 12 cups or 60 ounces at one time. It doen't
make coffee on demand but rather you make a large batch and it keep it hot
until you dispense the amout you need to fill you cup. When you add water
that you just added how much it uses at that time , the unit does not store
water.

How tall of a cup can fit under the spout?
|
A.
|
Using a tape measure, the bottom of the spout to the
top of the tray is 5 1/2". To the counter top is 6 1/2". To fit my
7" 20oz Tervis T1-0118 travel mug, I made a 1" platform to place
the maker on top of.

Does anyone have problem with the coffee guage going
back to Empty?

I have had mine for about nine months. Recently, I
was getting what I thought was coffee grounds in my coffee cup. A closer look
revealed these were not grounds, but flakes. I rinsed out the reservoir and
found that the flakes were present after each time I shook the reservoir. An
examination revealed that there are two screws holding the top of the
reservoir. After removing the screws, and flexing the top and sides of the
reservoir, the top finally did "pop" open. This enabled the float
assembly to be removed. To my complete surprise I saw that the float had a
black coating on it that was ( you guessed it ) flaking off. Why the coating
was applied is anyone's guess. After cleaning off the residual coating from
the float with a soft brush and mild detergent, and additional cleaning from
the float chamber I re-assembled the reservoir unit. While assembling, I
noticed that the float had to be carefully aligned with a guide so it could
operate freely. Giving the float assembly careful attention, I finished
putting the reservoir back together. Prior to this task, my float never
seemed to work properly. Now the float responds in real time when I am
dispensing a cup. Also I am glad to note that we drink a lot (two twelve cup
pots a day) of coffee and the chamber where the float does it's magic is not
accessible to routine cleaning. It was caked up with months of coffee oils.
The coffee seems to taste better now that the machine is fully cleaned. I
will continue to use this, but would not recommend it to anyone
